Leño was a Spanish rock ensemble from Madrid established in 1978. They achieved
professional recognition for a musical style characterized by hard rock and
urban rock and for being one of the most influential bands in Spanish rock
history. The ensemble was founded by the vocalist and guitarist Rosendo Mercado,
the drummer Ramiro Penas, and the bassist Chiqui Mariscal following the breakup
of the ensemble Ñu. Their recording career began with the debut single "Este
