Lars H.U.G.
Lars Haagensen, also known as Lars H.U.G., was born on September 11, 1953, in
Sorgenfri, Denmark, and is a Danish singer, musician, and visual artist. He
began his music career performing with the group Kliché, which formed in 1977
and released two albums before disbanding in 1985. During a break from Kliché,
H.U.G. released his first solo album, City Slang, in 1984, collaborating with
Søren Ulrik Thomsen. In 1993, he became the first rock musician to receive a
work grant from the Danish Arts Foundation and was nominated for a lifetime
performance award by the foundation in 2003....
