Larissa Luz de Jesus, born in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, on May 15, 1987, is a Brazilian singer-songwriter and actress celebrated for her work in contemporary Afro-Brazilian pop music. She began studying the piano and singing at twelve years of age, later performing with the all-female rock band Lucy in the Sky and other local ensembles before achieving widespread national recognition in 2007 as the lead singer of the axé group Ara Ketu.
