Born Laleh Pourkarim on June 10, 1982, in Bandar-e Anzali, Gilan, Iran, the
singer, songwriter, musician, and producer is better known by her stage name of
Laleh. Born in Iran, she relocated with her family to Sweden when she was eight
years old. Originally pursuing a career in acting, she came to prominence in
2000 when she appeared in the hit film Jalla! Jalla! Laleh changed course and
began her music career in 2003 and signed to Warner Music Sweden. She released
