Zuleide Santos Silva, known professionally as Lady Zu, was born on May 7, 1958,
in Canindé, São Paulo, Brazil. She is a singer who began her artistic journey at
a young age, performing at TV Cultura's children's talent show O Dois É Nosso
and taking singing classes by the age of ten. Her breakthrough came in 1975 when
she won a music festival at her school, catching the attention of composer Osmar
Navarro. This led to her introduction to producer Marcos Maynard, then at
Phonogram (now Universal Music). In 1977, Lady Zu released her first single and
her debut album A Noite Vai Che...
