Nicole Monique Wray, known as Lady Wray, was born on May 2, 1979, in Salinas,
California. She began her career after moving to Portsmouth, Virginia. In 1998,
Wray released her debut single "Make It Hot", which peaked in the top-five on
the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and was certified gold within six weeks. Her first
album Make It Hot followed that same year under The Goldmind Inc., peaking at
