Laakso
Laakso, an indie pop band from Sweden, was formed in 2001 when Markus Krunegård
and David Nygård met in Uppsala. The duo, both with Finnish roots, named the
group after the Finnish word for "valley," Laakso. After adding Mikael Fritz on
bass and Lars Skoglund on drums, they switched to English lyrics. In 2003,
Laakso released their debut EP Long Beach through Adrian Recordings, followed by
their first album I Miss You, I’m Pregnant. The band signed with V2 Records in
2005 and released the EP High Drama, followed by the album My Gods. Their
breakthrough came with the 2007 releases...
