La Ventaja
Formed in Culiacán, Sinaloa in 2014, La Ventaja is a regional Mexican group that
built its name on guitar-driven corridos and norteño songs before expanding into
a broader mezcla of banda sinaloense and sierreño styles. Led by singer and
songwriter Irvin Sánchez, the band moved from the local Sinaloa circuit to the
wider Mexican market with the release of the album Guitarras in 2016, which
showcased early favorites such as “Palabra de Hombre” and “La Paloma de Acero.”
They consolidated their presence in the corridos scene with Culiacán Sigue
Rifando in 2018 and its follow-up Culi...
