La Shica
Elsa Rovayo, known professionally as La Shica, was born on January 12, 1976, in
Ceuta, Spain. She is a pop singer with training in flamenco, Spanish dance, and
classical ballet. At age 15, she moved to Madrid to study at the Amor de Dios
school. She began her career as a flamenco dancer, touring various tablaos
across Spain and Paris. In 2004, she adopted the stage name La Shica and
transitioned to singing, debuting at La Lupe de Chueca in Madrid. Her first
album, Trabajito de chinos, was released in 2008 under DRO Records, featuring
