Koop Juho Alexander Arponen, born on April 20, 1984 in Lappeenranta, Finland, is
a Finnish singer. He moved to Belgium at age two and later to England for
school. Arponen began playing the piano at five, resumed at 16, and started
composing music. His breakthrough came in 2008 when he won the fourth series of
Idols, with his winner's song "Insomnia" debuting at Number 1 on the Official
Finnish Album Chart. In 2009, Arponen released his debut album New Town, which
also topped the Finnish charts. He toured Finland extensively that year and also
