KOAST
KOAST, born Amal in 1993 in Tunis and raised in Monastir, is a Tunisian singer,
rapper and songwriter. Trained in jazz and classical Arabic music, she has
developed a unique style blending hip-hop, R'n'B, oriental maqâm and neo-soul.
Inspired by Oum Kalthoum, Abdel Wahab and Fairuz, as well as Lauryn Hill,
Aaliyah and Amy Winehouse, her music is introspective and multilingual (Arabic,
French, English), exploring identity and emotion. In 2019, she unveils B-Town
Vol.1, her first EP with Ratchopper, and a string of standout tracks such
