Kevin Ross (born December 8 1987 in Washington, D.C.) is an American R&B
singer‑songwriter who grew up in a musically inclined family and studied
contemporary writing at Berklee College of Music. After winning BET’s
Wild Out Wednesday during his studies, he moved to Atlanta, where he began
writing for artists such as Trey Songz and Jamie Foxx before signing with Motown
Records. Ross released the Dialogue in the Grey EP in 2014, followed by the
single "Long Song Away" in 2016, which reached Number 1 on Billboard’s Adult R&B
