Kevin Burke, born in 1950 in London, England, is an Irish master fiddler whose career began with early instruction under Jessie Christopherson and immersion in the Sligo style. He first gained public attention playing in the Glenside céilí band, winning the All‑Ireland Fleadh competition in 1966, and later touring with Christy Moore in Dublin. In 1976, he joined The Bothy Band, contributing to the trio of albums Old Hag You Have Killed Me (1976), Out of the Wind – Into the Sun (1977), and After Hours (Live in Paris) (1979).
