Kerreke formed in 2016 in Miami, Florida, as a multicultural collective bringing
together musicians from Mexico, Venezuela and Colombia — notably vocalists Larry
Coll, César Sánchez, Jorge “Gio” Montañez and Cynthia Bagué — united around a
shared passion for Latin American folkloric roots. They spent the next several
years experimenting with regional rhythms like joropo and huapango, gradually
