Ken Pomeroy
Ken Pomeroy, born McKennan Pomeroy, is a Native American folk singer-songwriter
of Cherokee descent from Moore, Oklahoma. Pomeroy became interested in music at
six years of age and began writing her own compositions at eleven. She began
playing live concerts at thirteen years of age, and when she was sixteen, she
opened for Wanda Jackson at the Oklahoma Rodeo Centennial Opry. Pomeroy's
recording career began with her debut solo studio album, Christmas Lights in
