Between 2015 and 2016, rapper Kekra (the verlan word for "crack") from
Courbevoie in the Hauts-de-Seine region, released two free mixtapes on the
internet, entitled Free Base Volume 1 and Free Base Volume 2. The public
discovered an artist who voluntarily masked himself, refusing to reveal his true
identity, and who readily cites Gucci Mane, Waka Flocka and Young Thug among his
