Chakeiya Camille Richmond, known professionally as keiyaA, was born on July 28,
1992, in Chicago, Illinois. She is an American singer-songwriter and
multi-instrumentalist who began her musical journey singing in the Chicago
Children's Choir before switching to the alto saxophone. keiyaA released her
debut EP Work in February 2015 under her personal label Forever Recordings. Her
debut album, Forever, Ya Girl, was released in March 2020 and received critical
acclaim, featuring on several "Best Albums of 2020" lists, including those by
