Keb Darge
Keb Darge, born in 1957, is a Scottish DJ and music producer in the genres of
Northern soul, deep funk, garage punk, and rockabilly music. He began his career
as a Northern soul dancer in his late teens, participating in local disco dance
competitions and appearing in the nationally televised 1979 UK disco dance
finals. Darge started DJing in Wigan and Scotland during the 1970s, then moved
to London at age 22, where he continued his career. He is credited with
inventing the term 'deep funk' and played a pivotal role in popularizing
