Kasane Teto is a Japanese virtual singer and vocal model. The character was
originally created on April 1, 2008, as an April Fools' Day prank on the
textboard 2channel, before being embraced by the online community and officially
released as a voicebank for the singing synthesizer software UTAU on April 13,
2008, with Oyamano Mayo as the voice provider. The first song utilizing her
vocals was published on June 1, 2008. To manage the character's rights and
