Real name Mathieu Tortosa, born in Grenoble on May 19, 1993, the rapper made a
name for himself under the stage names Tortoz and Karmen. A close friend of
Mister V, he is also producer and artistic director under another name, Karmen
Rose. After five albums under the name Tortoz between 2015 and 2023, including
100 Diamants, he used the name Karmen for the diptych Motel Studio, performed at
Paris venues from La Maroquinerie to La Machine du Moulin Rouge in 2024 and La
Cigale on May 31, 2025. Meanwhile, the Latin-influenced rapper got down to work
