Karla Bonoff, born on December 27, 1951, in the United States of America, is an
American musician known for her work as a singer and songwriter. Bonoff began
her career singing backup vocals for Linda Ronstadt and Wendy Waldman before
releasing her debut album Karla Bonoff in 1977. Bonoff's breakthrough came when
several of her compositions were recorded by notable artists. Linda Ronstadt
covered three tracks from Bonoff’s repertoire on her 1976 album Hasten Down the
Wind, including "Someone To Lay Down Beside Me", "Lose Again" and "If He's Ever
