Karin Krog is a Norwegian jazz singer born in Oslo on May 15, 1937, considered
one of the great voices of Scandinavian jazz and a pioneer of experimental vocal
jazz in Europe. She began singing in the 1950s, initially influenced by Billie
Holiday, and soon became familiar with modern jazz forms thanks to her
collaboration with pianist Kjell Karlsen. In 1962, she formed her own group,
enabling her to explore innovative vocal approaches and expand her repertoire.
