Kana Uemura (born January 4, 1983), known since 2019 as Ka-Na, is a Japanese
singer-songwriter from Kawanishi, Hyogo. She began learning acoustic guitar at
19 and quickly started songwriting and performing on the streets. In 2002, she
won the Street Musician Grand Prix out of 1,200 contestants, which launched her
career. In 2005, she made her major debut with the single ”Taisetsu na Hito"
under King Records. Uemura gained national fame in 2010 with "Toire no
