Kami, born Ukyou Kamimura in 1972 in Ibaraki, Japan, was a drummer known for his work with the visual kei rock band Malice Mizer. Kami's musical journey began in elementary school when he started playing the drums. He joined his first band during high school and later moved to Tokyo, playing in several groups before joining Kneuklid Romance. In 1993, Kamimura was recruited by Malice Mizer following the departure of their previous drummer, Gaz. His debut with the band came on their album Memoire.
