Kairat Nurtas
Kairat Nurtas, born February 25, 1989 in Turkistan, Chimkent Oblast, Kazakh SSR,
Soviet Union, is a Kazakh singer who debuted on stage in Baikonur at age 10. He
released his first single and debut album Äñsağanym in 2006, and his
breakthrough came with a solo concert in Almaty in 2008. Over his career, he
released albums including Mom (2007), Ökınış (2010), and Bärı durys pa (2023).
He interpreted songs by prominent Kazakh composers, and in 2020, took first
place in the EMA-2020 ranking for Best Kazakhstani performer, earning a reported
$2.5 million, and became an honorary citize...
