Julie Daraîche, born on April 27, 1938, in Saint-François-de-Pabos, Quebec, is a
Canadian country singer. Affectionately known as the Queen of Country Music, her
rich voice and heartfelt performances endeared her to audiences around the
world. Julie Daraîche’s musical journey began in 1965 when she joined forces
with the talented Duguay brothers, who accompanied her on guitar and violin.
Their collaboration proved to be a winning combination, and Julie soon found
