Jukka Eskola
Jukka Harri Tapio Eskola is a Finnish jazz trumpeter and composer born on 10
June 1978 in Espoo. He began playing the trumpet at age nine and studied at the
Konservatorium of Kuopio before enrolling at the Helsinki Pop & Jazz
Conservatoire in 1998. He earned a Master of Music degree from the
Sibelius-Akademie in 2001 and won the Nokia Young Talent scholarship that same
year. Eskola is a founding member of The Five Corners Quintet and has performed
with ensembles including Nuspirit Helsinki and the Espoo Big Band. He released
