John Paul "J.P." Cormier, born January 23, 1969, in London, Ontario, is a
Canadian singer and multi-instrumentalist known for his work in bluegrass,
Celtic folk, and country music. He began playing guitar around age five and won
a guitar contest at age nine. Cormier's early career included appearances on the
television show Up Home Tonight and recording his first album at age sixteen.
After releasing The Fiddle Album in 1991, Cormier released Return to the Cape in
1995, followed by several other albums including Another Morning (1997) and
