John Paul Cooper, born in the Manchester suburb of Middleton on November 1,
1983, took an interest in grunge in his youth, playing guitar and forming a rock
band at college. His discovery of soul music led him to change his style. He
sang in a choir, performed in bars and wrote his first songs. In 2012, he
launched his career with the release of three EPs available for download. He
caught the public's attention with his participation in Jonas Blue's "Perfect
