Son of saxophonist Dewey Redman (1931-2006), Joshua Redman follows in his
father's footsteps, establishing himself as one of the most gifted musicians of
his generation. Born in Berkeley, California, on February 1, 1969, the Harvard
University graduate also brilliantly passed the 1991 Thelonious Monk Institute
competition. His career was launched with a Grammy-nominated untitled album, and
