Jose Chameleone
Joseph Mayanja, commonly known by his stage name Jose Chameleone, born April 30,
1979 in Kampala, Uganda, is a Ugandan Afrobeat singer who performs in Luganda,
English, and Swahili. He began his career as a DJ in 1996 and broke through in
1998 when Kenya's Ogopa Deejays released his debut single, "Bageya". He followed
with the album Mama Mia (2001) and later albums including Kipepeo (2005), Shida
za Dunia, Valu Valu, Bayuda, and Badilisha, featuring hits such as "Valu Valu",
