English R&B singer Jorja Smith was born June 11, 1997, in Walsall, England. She began performing as a child and started to write songs when she studied music as a teenager, admitting to an obsession with Amy Winehouse. She debuted with the single “Blue Lights” in 2016 and it became her first Top 40 hit.
