Jon Oliva's Pain
Jon Oliva's Pain, an American heavy metal band, was formed in 2003 by Jon Oliva,
co-founder of Savatage. The project began as solo recordings by Oliva but became
a full band with former members of Circle II Circle. Their debut EP Straight
Jacket Memoirs was released in July 2006, followed by the album Maniacal
Renderings in September 2006 under AFM Records. Notable songs include "The
Answer", co-written with Oliva's late brother Criss. The band toured extensively
and released subsequent albums Global Warning (March 2008) and Festival
