Jon Boden

Leader of the band Bellowhead and member of the duo Spiers & Boden, British musician Jon Boden went on to pursue his own career. Born Jonathan James Boden on March 17, 1977, he grew up in Winchester (Hampshire) and studied medieval music at university, before gaining a Master's degree in composition at the London College of Music. In 1999, he met accordionist John Spiers, with whom he formed the duo Spiers & Boden. While he continued to perform and record with this duo, in 2001 Jon Boden met guitarist and singer Eliza Carthy, and became her accompanist in her band Ratcatchers. In...
