Johan
Johan is a Dutch indie rock ensemble from Hoorn established in 1996. They
achieved professional recognition for a musical career characterized by
alternative rock and for receiving an Edison Award for Best National Pop Group
in 2002. The ensemble was founded by the lead vocalist and guitarist Jacco de
Greeuw after previously performing in the groups Thank God for Us and Little
Mary Big. They achieved professional recognition for a career that began as
Visions of Johanna before shortening the name to Johan as a reference to the
