A singer with a warm, gravelly voice that many would liken to that of Janis
Joplin, Jesse Sykes has made a name for herself in the indie folk and
songwriting world in the space of three albums. A journey that owes much to the
artist's compositional skills, as well as to his work with Phil Wandscher,
inspired guitarist and faithful travelling companion. Like, Love, Lust and the
Open Halls of the Soul, released in 2007, confirms his emerging talent.
