Jesse Davis, born November 9, 1965, in New Orleans, Louisiana, is an American
saxophonist. He studied under Ellis Marsalis at the New Orleans Center for
Creative Arts and later recorded eight albums for Concord Jazz. Davis
collaborated with artists like Jack McDuff and Illinois Jacquet and received the
"Most Outstanding Musician Award" from Down Beat in 1989. Notable albums include
Horn of Passion (1991), As We Speak (1992), and Young at Art (1993). Davis led
