Jeremy Max Finer (born 25 July 1955) is an English musician, artist, and
composer, best known as a founding member of the Pogues. Born in Stoke-on-Trent,
he studied computing and sociology at Keele University before traveling Europe
and settling in London. In the Pogues, he played banjo and various instruments,
co-writing songs like Fairytale of New York. He remained with the band until
their 1996 breakup and contributed to Shane MacGowan's solo work. In 2000, he
