Jeff Ball
Jeff Ball, born on August 6, 1966 in Bethesda, Maryland, is a Native American
flutist. He discovered the flute at a Powwow in Baltimore in 1991 and received
basic instruction from Choctaw musician Wintamer. In 1995, he released his album
Mixed‑Blood: Contemporary Flute Music, followed by Reverence (1997) and
Windtamer: Native American Flute (1999). Signing with Red Feather Music, Ball
earned several Native American Music Award nominations and won the Native Heart
award in 2001.
