Jeanie Bryson, born on March 10, 1958 in New York City, is an American singer known for her blend of jazz, pop, and Latin music. She began playing instruments at a young age, starting with the piano in first grade and later taking up the flute. After studying in Livingston College and Rutgers University, she graduated in 1981. That same year, Bryson performed with her father, Dizzy Gillespie, singing "God Bless the Child" by Billie Holiday.
