Jawbox
Jawbox was an American post-hardcore band from Washington, D.C., formed in 1989
by J. Robbins, Kim Coletta, and Adam Wade. Their debut album Grippe was released
in 1991 on Dischord Records. Bill Barbot joined as a guitarist after Grippe, and
Zach Barocas replaced Wade on drums following the release of their second album
Novelty in 1992. Jawbox signed to Atlantic Records and released For Your Own
Special Sweetheart in 1994, which featured the notable song "Savory". The band
disbanded in 1997 but reunited for a one-off show in 2009 and resumed full-time
