Javed Ali
Indian playback singer Javed Ali was born Javed Hussain on July 5, 1983 in
Delhi, India and sings mostly in Hindi, but has also sung in a plethora of
regional languages including Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Gujarati, Marathi,
Odia, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. Encouraged by his father, qawwali singer Ustad
Hamid Hussain, he began singing at an early age and was later mentored by Ghazal
singer Ghulam Ali who coached him as well as inviting him to sing at his
concerts. To show his appreciation, Javed Hussain changed his name to Javed Ali
in tribute. He recorded his first song, in Hindi...
