Jason Hartman
Jason Hartman, born on November 21, 1979, in South Africa, is a
singer-songwriter. In July 2003, Hartman formed the band Men of Trees with his
brother Scott Hartman, father Sam Hartman, and bandmate Donovan Thatcher,
playing a variety of genres. Hartman's breakthrough came in 2009 when he co-won
season 5 of Idols (South Africa) alongside Sasha-Lee Davids following a vote
recount due to technical issues. After his victory, Jason Hartman released the
single "Break the Silence," which peaked at Number 1 on South Africa's Nokia Top
