Canadian singer and guitarist Brian King and drummer David Prowse created
Japandroids when they were students in western Canada in 2006. Delivering an
unvarnished mix of indie rock and garage rock influences they made a couple of
promotional recordings and gained national attention with their debut album
Post-Nothing in 2009. They toured extensively and their second album Celebration
Rock arned a nomination in Canada's Juno Awards for Alternative Album of the
