Jamil
Jamil Sapio, known simply as Jamil, is an Italian-Iranian rapper. Born to a
Sicilian father and an Iranian mother in 1990, Jamil grew up in Verona and began
rapping in his early teens. His debut album, a collaboration with fellow rapper
Mani, came in the form of 'Green Street' in 2009. He followed up with another
collaboration - a mixtape called 'Black Book' released with Vacca in 2012.
In 2014 Jamil introduced himself to the Italian music mainstream with his first
solo album, 'Il Nirvana', which peaked at number nine in the Italian Albums
