Jacques Demarny (contributor)
Jacques Demarny, born Jacques Edme Lemaître on 21 December 1925 in the 13th
arrondissement of Paris, was a French songwriter whose career spanned several
decades. After early performances with his brother Jean in Parisian music halls
and work as an announcer on Europe 1, he shifted focus to lyric writing in 1959,
providing material for artists such as Enrico Macias, Daniel Guichard, and
Tino Rossi. His partnership with Enrico Macias yielded over a hundred songs,
including "Enfants de tous pays" (1963) and "Le Fusil rouillé" (1984). Demarny
