Italian-born English singer-songwriter Giovanni "Jack" Savoretti (born in London on October 10, 1983) writes poetry and sets it to music when he learns to play guitar as a teenager. In 2006, he released his first single , "Without", a minor hit in his homeland (No. 90), which nevertheless brought him to the attention of neo-soul singer Corinne Bailey Rae, who invited him to join her on tour.
