Itsuro Shimoda
Itsuro Shimoda, born on May 12, 1948, in Miyazaki, Japan, is a Japanese
singer-songwriter known for his folk pop music infused with traditional Japanese
styles. Shimoda began his career as part of the groups Shimonsai and Tokyo Kid
Brothers. His breakthrough came with the release of "Everybody Anyone" from the
album Love Songs and Lamentations in 1973. Throughout his career, Shimoda
released numerous albums, including 誰にも知られずに消えるしかないさ (I Can Only Disappear
Without Anyone Knowing) in 1971 and 飛べない鳥、飛ばない鳥 (A Bird That Cannot Fly, A Bird
That Does Not Fly) in 1973.
