Irmãs de Pau is a bold Brazilian baile funk duo from São Paulo, formed by Vita
Pereira and Isma Almeida—two trans artists who met in 2015 during student
protests and began creating music together during the pandemic. They debuted in
2021 with the feminist-radical album Dotadas, spotlighting their fierce sound,
and followed in 2022 with the underground smash single “Shambaralai,” which
cemented their status in São Paulo’s queer electronic clubs. In 2023, their
