Irene Kelley is an American country and bluegrass musician from Pennsylvania.
She began her musical journey singing in a Led Zeppelin cover band during high
school. In the early 1980s, Irene Kelley moved to Nashville, Tennessee, after
discovering the International Bluegrass Music Association gathering on her
honeymoon in 1983. Her breakthrough came with co-writing "Love Can't Ever Get
Better Than This" with Nancy Montgomery for Ricky Skaggs and Sharon White, which
peaked at number 10 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart in 1987 and won
